Creative Style Review

Editorial policy

Creative Style Review aims to make creative process easier to understand. We separate general guidance from opinion, use careful wording and correct material when we find an error.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against appropriate reference material before publication and write so readers can tell the difference between a verifiable detail, an interpretation and a suggestion. Advice about creative work is presented as an option to consider, not a guaranteed result. We avoid claiming that one method works for everyone.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for the publication's readers. A partnership does not buy a favourable assessment or control over unrelated editorial coverage. Paid or partner material is identified clearly where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial content.

Corrections and updates

If a reader spots an error or unclear passage, they can contact us with the article title and the detail in question. We review the message and correct or clarify published material when warranted. Significant changes should be made visible in the relevant article.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with AI. Where that applies, the illustration is labelled so readers can tell it is illustrative rather than a documentary depiction. Images are not a substitute for evidence about a creative process or material.

Our point of view

Creativity grows through considered choices

A small decision can change the direction of a piece. We look at the process so you can try the next step with more confidence.
